Hello and a big warm welcome from the PTFA to all pupils, parents and friends of Wyvern School.
Who is in the PTFA?
Being a parent, teacher or friend of the school you are automatically a member. How involved you want to be is entirely up to you. We rely solely on people volunteering their time and energy and are always grateful for any amount of help people can offer. Everyone is welcome on the PTFA and we are always looking for new ideas.
Why do we need it?
Our principle aim is to raise funds to assist the school in providing an enriched curriculum for our children and enhance their learning experiences. Every event organised by the committee is supported by a different set of parents - any effort, no matter how small, makes a difference.
We are proud to have contributed many facilities that make our school special and with your help, look forward to contributing much more.
The events we organise such as Christmas and summer Fetes, discos, chocolate bingo, and the quiz night to name a few, provide important social opportunities for our young people. It provides a safe setting for them to help run a stall, manage money, talk to people from the community they may not have met before. We try and hold coffee mornings on a regular basis so that parents get to speak to other parents too.
If you have ideas, comments, suggestions or need to ask the PTFA something, why not send us an email via firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, come along to a coffee morning or meeting and get involved!
