Key Stage 4
In Key Stage 4 pupils are taught in tutor groups with a totally differentiated curriculum to give access for all pupils. Those requiring a more sensory timetable are based in the Star Group and have inclusion with their peers in topics, where appropriate, for the individual.
Key Stage 4 pupils study a wide range of subjects:-
- Physical Education
Which all lead to Entry Level qualifications in which all students reach their full potential at high standards.
They also have Independent Living Skills, RE, Computing and Music.
In year 10 all students begin to work towards their ASDAN Awards which continues through into the FE.
In Key Stage 4 all pupils are involved in work experience:
Year 10 - School based projects (making full sized play equipment to be used around the school)
Year 11 – External placements for the majority E.g.- hairdressing, retail, gardening, life skills at Home Farm Trust
